One of Peter's supporters just called me to suggestion that an open letter in all the leading city and rural newspapers go out to the politicians saying "why are governments reluctant to embrace Australia's natural landscape efficiences? and challenge the pollies openly and DEMAND a reply.

What do people think of this idea and who would be prepared to support it??

eg "We the undersigned, are concerned citizens that are witnessing the continuing degradation of our land and water systems.......etc "

Our esteemed Prime Minister, the Honourable Kevin Rudd MP, has just started a blog http://www.pm.gov.au/PM_Connect/PMs_Blog.

Another chance for us to let our position be known. Don't let the 'Northcote Naturalists' determine government policy, the people who live and work in rural areas know what is best.

Yes Duane,

We have many supporters on Facebook and MySpace who want to know how they can help..

A carefully crafted letter or two would do the trick!!

I dont know how much it would cost.

How many are prepared to sign a letter or petition and how many are willing to pledge their hard earned into funding such a letter?

I am on record as saying here is $100.00 to start the ball rolling.

We need hundreds if not thousands of people to support this to make it happen.

Yes, Duane, I will be in that. As far as Naturalists go, I am one! Isn't that what NSF is about anyway but it includes survival of humans as well as the forests, the animals and everything else living.

Shirley and Robin

I have donated my pledge to the Gift Fund at www.naturalsequenceassociation.org.au

If you go there you will see a Donate link.

When you enter the secure payment site there is a link which says fill in any special instructions.

I said " for the National newspaper ad account"....and if we dont get the money we require then it can go into supporting Peter's work.
