Best Resources for NSF
Hi there,
I am a young fella who is super keen to get my head into the NSF technique of farming... and want to get my head into as much information as possible! What are the best "offline" resources for me to read, and what online information would I find best to start with?
I apologise if this is elsewhere in the forum!
Thankyou in advance,
Matt

Re: Best Resources for NSF
G'day Matt,
Im going to go out on a limb and suggest, as far as building structures is concerned, the work by the Quivara Coalition is quite informative. "Let the Water do the Work" by Bill Zeedyk is a guidebook for gabions and other regenerative structures. I have made a link here before so you can search this site.
If you are close to one of the NSF chapters you could give them a call.
I have some downloads for information regarding the importance and benefits weeds and willows I can send if you like, PM me your email.
There is plenty of good information here too, but nothing will beat on ground information, maybe a trip to Mulloon Creek.
Do you have land to start experimenting?

Re: Best Resources for NSF
I presume you have already read Peter Andrews "Back from the Brink" and his second book "Beyond the Brink" .
Available everywhere, but at ABC shops

The CSIRO sent an Expert Panel to study his work at the request of the government following his appearance in ABCs "Australian Story". It gives some perspective on his work.

Re: Best Resources for NSF
Ghosta just wanting to keep the chronology right and the record straight.
The long and the short of it was that CSIRO reported that Peter has produced a sustainable farming system.
The CSIRO was commissioned by the former Deputy Prime Minister, John Anderson to produce a report on Natural Farming Sequence, which was released in July 2002. This was 3 years before the first Australian Story which appeared in June 2005.The CSIRO sent an Expert Panel to study Peter's work at the request of the government following his appearance in ABCs "Australian Story".
