If the government is sincerely looking into using soil as a carbon sink then it should, in turn, look to the obvious benefits of organic farming practises including holistic management, biodynamic and natural sequence farming.
Converting to organic farming results in losses of income through loss of production whilst land rehabilitates and detox's from chemical dependence.
This conversion process is being supported by governments in Wales, Scotland and Denmark.

Our government needs to start an action plan to convert a considerable portion of land to meet carbon reduction targets. And also funding to promote pathways in relocalisation of certified organic products
