His forward said all the right things....the rest of it just lost me.

Desalination is just another of man's perverse engineering solutions that becomes a bigger nightmare than the one they set out to solve.

Desalination....spells disaster for the oceans because of the return of hypersalinated water...seawater ecosystems die as a result.

Of all the rainfall on the Australian Continent that falls across it every year ONLY 2% is captures and stored in dams.

The rest runs out to sea or is lost to evaporation.

Once 98% was stored in the landscape, protected by a vast biodiversity of plants which had a permanent cover over the landscape except when it was burnt.

Today we have deserts everywhere and Victoria is soon to be part of the GSD.,,,i.e., the Great Simpson Desert. Unless, we get back to the way the landscape once ran.
